2020 woke us all up!! No matter what we do, where we live or who we are we woke up in 2020. So many things happened this year. Everyone has a story to tell. I felt like every week was a new normal of events happening. Starting Abundant Wellness, LLC in November 2019 was the something I’ve always wanted to do, it has been exciting and challenging like I thought it would. I have so much to give and share and be grateful for. Hoping past patients from Associates For Women’s Health, Vista Physician Group where I practiced from almost 30 years in Gurnee Illinois find me as well as new people find me to join in the Journey and pursuit of Continual Health and Longevity!!

Covid-19 Corona Virus has shown us how unhealthy a Nation we are. How fragile we are and how life is fleeting. Healthcare is changing in this country. People want to be in control of their health and wellness. They are tired of fighting with insurance companies being told what to do and what they will cover. Pharmaceutical companies producing medications that have so many side effects and risks, costs unaffordable for most. USDA destroying our earth, soil and environment with pesticides that cause hosts of disorders, take nutrients out of the soil and make it not alive, sicken the animals with unhealthy feedlots, gmo foods and antibiotics. Making healthy nutritious foods unaffordable and having cheap non-nutritive fast foods available to get people hooked on so that they can go on to develop diseases that require them to be on medications and need the current healthcare system for the rest of their lives.

Corona Virus has shown us how to slow down and appreciate Nature, respect Mother Earth and Spend time with our families. Be teachers to our children, learn how to be a family and support each other, cook together, problem solve, care for one another. Sit down to a meal together and listen to one another. Spend quality time with people you love.

Corona virus has also shown us how to know JOY. Joy is sisters with happiness, gladness, and cheer, the niece of ecstasy, rapture, and bliss, and the mother of satisfaction and delight. Joy is lovers with beauty and order, abundance and harmony, safety and security. Joy adores spontaneity. Joy is gay. Joy dances. Joy sings a lively song in a major key. Joy rises up; it is elation. Joy spreads out; it is inspiring. Joy is hard to contain, and difficult to suppress. Joy is a bubbling spring that tickles the funny bone. But we must go to the spring; it will not come down off the mountain for us. One must court the joyous life; one must conspire with joy, entice joy, set a place at the table for joy, commit to joy.

Gratitude precedes and follows joy. When I am grateful for the gifts of life and a precious healthy human body – even if it hurts – joy finds me more easily. When I am grateful for the presence of others in my life – even when they annoy me – joy considers staying for a spell. When I am grateful for my problems and recognize the blessing in adversity, joy signs the lease. Then it is up to me to see to it that joy wants to stay. Joy is always an option; we must choose it to make it reality.

As we near the end of 2020 think about all the things you are grateful and thankful for. What changes do you want to see in 2021? Be the change you want to see. Don’t wait for others to do it for you, its your turn take it on and be apart of the change. We as people need to be active at all levels to have change happen in our world. Protect our earth, future generations by making good choices everyday. Get yourself healthy and immune system strong to fight off any virus that comes your way.

When there is beauty in the person there is harmony in the home, When there is harmony in the home there will be order in the Nation and when there is order in the Nation there will be peace in the World.
